Hard Hat Standard

About Hard Hat Standard

Heavy civil project management is judgment work. It's contract protection, risk reduction, field support, and accuracy under pressure — not paperwork for its own sake. Most training and tooling built for “project managers” is written for software teams or generic corporate PM, and doesn't hold up against a real change order fight, a differing site condition, or a pay application under scrutiny.

Hard Hat Standard exists to close that gap: a manual, a toolkit, and eventually a community built specifically around construction work, grounded in one standard.

“Be accurate. Verify before acting. Document the truth. Protect the company. Support the field.”

That standard runs through everything here — the manual's 34 chapters, all 61 toolkit assets, and the training curriculum. Nothing is generic PM theory repackaged and sold as a checklist; it's built around the actual workflows of a construction project: quantities, RFIs, change orders, utility conflicts, pay applications, closeout.

This is an early-stage, independent product — not a large company, not backed by a software vendor. It's being built deliberately, one piece at a time, by people who care about getting it right rather than shipping something generic fast.

Placeholder note: this page needs a real founder bio/story swapped in here before launch — who's behind Hard Hat Standard, relevant construction experience, and why this exists. Everything above is accurate to the product's mission and standard, but the personal story is intentionally left out until you provide it.
