It’s not a certification course and not generic project-management training. Most tooling built for “project managers” is written for software teams or corporate PM, and doesn’t hold up against a real change order fight, a differing site condition, or a pay application under scrutiny. Hard Hat Standard is built for the way construction jobs actually run — commercial, industrial, residential, heavy civil, and specialty — grounded in one standard.

That standard runs through everything here — the manual’s 35 chapters, 53 live tools on the way to a 61-tool toolkit, and the training curriculum. Nothing is generic PM theory repackaged and sold as a checklist; it’s built around the actual workflows of a construction project: quantities, RFIs, change orders, utility conflicts, pay applications, closeout.
The founders
Hard Hat Standard was created by Logan and Dale to help construction professionals learn the real-world side of project management and to give project managers practical tools for running their jobs. The goal is simple: preserve hard-won construction knowledge, organize it into usable tools, and help the next generation of PMs, project engineers, superintendents, and foremen show up better prepared for the work.
Logan
Co-Founder — Hard Hat Standard
Logan grew up around construction and worked his way up from the field into project management. Along the way he gained experience across residential and heavy civil work, where he learned firsthand how much there is to master — from plans and specs to change orders, scheduling, cost tracking, and field coordination.
His role in Hard Hat Standard is to turn that learning curve into clear, useful resources and job-running tools that make project management easier to understand, organize, and apply in the real world.
Dale

Dale brings the seasoned experience and leadership that Hard Hat Standard is built around. Years in the industry have given him the ability to see the big picture while still managing the details that move projects forward.
He understands how every part of a project connects — field operations, project management, owner coordination, cost, schedule, risk, and people. His role is to keep the platform grounded in what actually works, in the field and in the office, rather than in theory.
Why we built Hard Hat Standard
The industry is changing. Many of the best superintendents, project managers, and field leaders are retiring, and too much of their knowledge is never written down or passed on.
Hard Hat Standard was built to help close that gap — a practical platform that helps PMs run jobs with better organization, clearer documentation, stronger controls, and tools that connect the field, office, schedule, cost, and project information in one place. It is built from real experience, real project problems, and real lessons learned.
This is an early-stage, independent product — not a large company, not backed by a software vendor. It’s being built deliberately, one piece at a time, by people who care about getting it right rather than shipping something generic fast.
